About Us

Holy Trinity Reformed Church (Dunaivtsi)

Holy Trinity Reformed Church in the city of Dunaivtsi traces its beginnings to the year 2000. It was born as a community of new believers who sincerely longed to know the truth, to be rooted in Holy Scripture, and to grow in the Christian life. From the very start, it mattered to us not simply to “have a religion,” but to live a faith that shapes the heart, the family, the community, and service to our neighbor.

Our Formation: A Path of Seeking and Establishment

In its early years, our congregation was part of the Union of Evangelical Christian Baptists. At the same time, the theological foundation of the church even then was the Second London Baptist Confession (1689), which reflected a desire for a historic, biblical, and consistent evangelical faith.

Over time, through deeper study of Scripture, historical theology, and the heritage of the Reformation, our congregation came to understand its identity more and more clearly. This process was not instantaneous; it was formed through reading, teaching, prayer, pastoral work, and shared discernment of God’s will.

2010: Embracing the Reformed Confessions

In 2010, the church withdrew from the Union of Evangelical Christian Baptists, because it adopted as its principal confessional standards the Three Forms of Unity and the Second Helvetic Confession. This step was not a “rebranding,” but a conscious affirmation of the theological path to which consistent study of God’s Word and the Church’s witness across the centuries had led us.

We believe that the historic Reformed confessions do not replace the Bible, but help the Church express clearly and responsibly what Scripture teaches, preserving the unity of faith and the clarity of preaching.

2015: Joining the CREC

Since 2015, Holy Trinity Reformed Church has been part of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC) and is an active member of the Jan Hus Presbytery. For us, this means not only formal affiliation, but a living ecclesial bond: mutual accountability, brotherly support, shared standards of ministry, pastoral care, and visible unity in the faith.

Who We Are Today

Holy Trinity Reformed Church is a congregation that seeks to:

  • live under the authority of Holy Scripture;
  • proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ clearly and faithfully;
  • grow in discipleship, where faith becomes a way of life;
  • build a church community with room for prayer, service, teaching, and mutual support;
  • bear witness to Christ in our city and beyond its borders.

We are convinced that the Church is not only a gathering for Sunday worship, but the family of God’s people, called to glorify the Lord, learn His Word, celebrate the sacraments, and be light to the world.
