Diaconal Ministry

Diaconal ministry is a vital part of the life of Holy Trinity Reformed Church. Following the example of Christ and the teaching of Scripture, we seek to express the love of God in practical ways—through mercy, care, and tangible support for those in need. We understand this ministry not as charity “from above,” but as the service of the body of Christ, where the Church bears one another’s burdens and becomes a visible witness to the Gospel.

Our diaconal work is especially focused on people who are experiencing hardship: the elderly, those who are ill, individuals with disabilities, families in crisis, and anyone facing urgent material or emotional need. We also seek to respond to local challenges in our community and to offer help in ways that are thoughtful, respectful, and truly beneficial.

This ministry includes providing targeted assistance, visiting and supporting those who are homebound, offering practical help in difficult circumstances, and coordinating care within the congregation so that no one is left alone. Through this service we strive to unite compassion with responsibility, prayer with action, and words of hope with real support.

We believe that diaconal ministry flows from worship and returns to worship: having received God’s mercy, we learn to show mercy. If you are in need of help, or if you would like to serve together with us, we invite you to contact the church. We will be glad to listen, support, and seek ways to help.
